Rapid City Area Schools could have a new superintendent as soon as Tuesday evening.
The RCAS Board of Education is set to vote on hiring Dr. Jami Jo Thompson during its public meeting at 5:30 p.m. If approved, Thompson would officially begin her role on July 1.
Thompson currently serves as superintendent of Norfolk Public Schools in Nebraska and was selected as the leading candidate after a comprehensive search and interview process, according to the district.
Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting in person at the RCAS Education Center Building or watch the livestream online.
