According to Senator Mike Rounds, his office handled three times more calls in February from concerned residents. Rounds says his staff is currently working on 139 cases involving people affected by reductions made by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE.
One example: a nurse seeking cancer treatment protocols found that a National Institutes of Health website had been shut down. After Rounds’ office intervened, the site was restored.
