(Helena, MT) — The findings of an investigation into Senator Jason Ellsworth are now before the Montana Senate. A committee sent the report to the full chamber yesterday, noting the witnesses involved “were credible” and is “accurate findings of fact relevant to the allegation.” Ellsworth is accused of agreeing to a deal with a contractor worth more than 170-thousand dollars, and splitting the contract to avoid competitive bidding on it. It is now up to Montana’s senators to look over the findings and decide any disciplinary action if necessary.
