SD AG Weighs In On Trump Administration, ‘Rule Of Law’

(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota’s Attorney General is sharing his thoughts over criticism that the Trump administration is stretching the rule of law. Rule of law has been under scrutiny as of late among accusations that President Trump is defying it with his actions during the first two months in office. Attorney General Marty Jackley says that he and other Attorneys General have been concerned about the rule of law in the White House before the new administration took over. He believes in the separation of powers and defines it as something legislators pass, judges interpret while Attorneys General and the Executive Branch enforce. Jackley is worried about the effectiveness of the legislature, which he believes is the reason for the number of executive actions issued by President Trump.
