SDSU Women’s Basketball Loses In NCAA Tournament

(Storrs, CT) — There won’t be a Cinderella story for South Dakota State women’s basketball this year in the NCAA Tournament. The Number Ten Jackrabbits fell hard to Number Two UConn, 91-57, last night in the Second Round. The Huskies’ star power with Paige Bueckers proved to be too much as the Minnesota native went on to score a game and career-high 34 points. UConn will now play Oklahoma in the Sweet 16. SDSU wraps up a stellar year with a 30-4 record, accomplishing the program’s second-ever 30-win season.
