(Iowa City, IA) — The Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball team has its next head coach. The team announced Monday that it is hiring Drake head coach Ben McCollum to take over for Fran McCaffery. McCollum led Drake to a 31-and-4 season and got the Bulldogs out of the First Round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in over 50 years. The Iowa-native is the 23rd head coach in Hawkeyes history.
