(Bismarck, ND) — State lawmakers could increase gas taxes and electric vehicle fees. The increase would be three cents, bringing the tax to 26 cents per gallon. Lawmakers say it would help to fund local road projects. Increased fees for elective vehicle usage and plug-ins are also part of the proposal, with a projected generation of 42 million dollars per biennium through the tax and fees.
