(Bismarck, ND) — State lawmakers want to ban cell phone usage in public schools. The bill proposal would require students to store phones and similar devices in lockers, secure pouches, or designated containers during the school day. There would be expectations for students with medical needs for a device or students who need it for educational purposes. A one-and-a-half million dollar appropriation would be developed to help schools pay for storage containers.
