(Rapid City, SD) — A jury trial is set for a former Rapid City news anchor accused in a domestic violence case. Shad Olson was accused of assaulting a woman at her home in Meade County in February of last year. The 52-year-old man allegedly grabbed the woman by the shoulders and threw her to the ground multiple times. Olson was charged with aggravated assault-domestic violence. That charge was dismissed back in November, but he still faces a charge of simple assault-domestic violence. Olson ended up backing out of a plea agreement and now has a pre-trial conference set for May 22nd with his jury trial set for June 5th.
