Twins Fall To Cardinals On Opening Day

(St. Louis, MO) — The Minnesota Twins are off to an 0-and-1 start following a 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Opening Day from Busch Stadium. The Twins trailed by just one in the bottom of the eighth when Nolan Arenado hit a solo home run to give the Cardinals an insurance run. Harrison Bader homered in the losing effort, while Pablo Lopez was charged with the loss after surrendering two earned runs and two unearned runs on eight hits in five innings. Joe Ryan starts for Minnesota against St. Louis tomorrow.
