(Rapid City, SD) — Requests for Vision Fund projects in Rapid City for the 2025-2029 cycle far exceed the 12-million dollars approved by City Council. According to the city’s communications coordinator, the 29 proposed projects total roughly 74-million dollars. The council approved 12-million dollars for allocations for this cycle, leaving a 62-million dollar gap. Now, the City Council is waiting on the Rapid City citizen committee to submit recommendations for how to fund those projects over the next few months.
