(Spink County, SD) — Spink County is asking all attorney fees related to the fight against the CO2 pipeline be paid by Summit Carbon Solutions. That’s according to a filing with the Public Utilities Commission last week. The move comes after Governor Larry Rhoden signed a bill removing the ability to use eminent domain for the construction of dioxide pipelines last month. The Spink County Commission says legal fees have increased by tens of thousands of dollars in just the past month.
