Age Verification Bill Sent To ND Governor’s Desk

(Bismarck, ND) — A bill that requires age verification on company websites with explicit content could be signed into law. The bill requires individuals to prove they are 18 or older through a digitized identification card or a commercially reasonable age verification system set up by companies. The only exception would be for news organizations, internet service providers, search engines, and other cloud services. The bill now waits for Governor Kelly Armstrong’s approval or veto after being approved by both legislative chambers.
