(Rapid City, SD) — Downtown Rapid City could look very different in the near future. Yesterday, the Public Works Committee agreed to give the mayor’s office permission to enter an agreement with Wyss Associates Incorporated, a contractor providing the design to the city’s new “master plan.” That plan included a streetscape design for downtown that would correct areas that have been dismantled or “mismatched” due to public safety improvements. The move now goes before the City Council for final approval next week.
