Police Patrol Presence Increase In Rapid City After Deadly Stabbing

(Rapid City, SD) — A deadly stabbing in Rapid City last week is prompting an increased police presence in the city. That’s the plan of action for Rapid City Police after they say 22-year-old Diontae Eagleman stabbed a man last Tuesday night just a block from city hall. Francis Tobacco died from his injuries. Eagleman was arrested and charged with murder. According to a post from RCPD, the increased presence efforts are because of the impact the violent crime had on local businesses and the community. Changes taking place include increased security cameras, more officers on patrol and engaging in the community.
