(Minot, ND) — Minot childcare centers and adult daycares won’t see any tax breaks. The city council rejected the proposed tax exemption this week after hearing statements from City Tax Assessor Ryan Kamrowki. Kamrowki shared findings of properties with for-profit childcare centers that aren’t being assessed, making them subject to future property taxes. Only non-profit childcare centers and adult daycares are tax-exempt in North Dakota, with only a few locations throughout the city limits falling into that category.
