Naloxone Distribution Boxes Installed At Sanford Health

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Free access to a life-saving tool for drug overdoses is growing in Sioux Falls. The local nonprofit Emily’s Hope has partnered with Sanford Health to bring naloxone boxes to the main hospital lobby and emergency room. These kits provide the opioid overdose-reversing medication, also known as Narcan. Each one contains naloxone, gloves, face shields, and instructions on how to use it and where to get help. Anyone can take a kit for free with no questions asked. Emily’s Hope has now established 10 free naloxone boxes across the state.
