(Minot, ND) — A special election will be held for Minot’s open mayoral position. City officials confirmed that a petition submitted by resident Josiah Royce yesterday received enough verified signatures to hold the election. Anyone interested in running to be the next mayor must get 300 signatures to be on the ballot in a 30-day window that starts 94 days before the election date. City officials will release the special election date sometime after April 16th.
