Rapid City Protest Seeking Attention Of John Thune

news

(Rapid City, SD) — Locals in Rapid City frustrated with the Trump Administration’s actions continue to voice their concerns in an effort to get a response from South Dakota’s Republican U.S. Senator and Senate Majority Leader John Thune. Indivisible Rapid City organized a peaceful demonstration yesterday as protestors gathered across from Thune’s office. Those in attendance were speaking out on a number of topics, including DOGE, cuts at the Veterans Affairs office, and human rights issues. Organizers say they’re hoping that Thune and his fellow colleagues take action through checks and balances. The protests are to continue weekly across from Thune’s office until the office gives a response.
