News

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Julian Beaudion says he’s the right man for the job to take over South Dakota’s U.S. Senate seat opening in 2026. Beaudion of Sioux Falls entered his name as the first official entrant this week and will be running as a Democrat for the seat currently occupied by Republican Mike Rounds. According to Beaudion, his campaign will focus on investing in rural infrastructure, building up South Dakota’s agriculture industry, among other priorities. He served as a trooper in the South Dakota Highway Patrol for more than a decade. He now currently runs The HUB SD, and he and his wife also own a Sioux Falls restaurant. Beaudion unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the Sioux Falls City Council in 2020.
