(Clear Lake Township, MN) — The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a crash involving a state patrol squad took place. The incident took place Wednesday night on U.S. Highway 10 near 70th Avenue. Police say the trooper was responding to a wrong way driver. The wrong way driver hit a car and when the state trooper arrived, officials say the trooper hit one or both vehicles at the scene. A total of five people were taken to the hospital because of the crash. One, a juvenile, suffered life-threatening injuries. The other four people had minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
