(Minot, ND) — Local officials are submitting bids for Minot’s mayoral position to run in the undetermined special election. City Council President Mark Jantzer announced his intention to run for the election as a long-standing fixture on the council since 2008. Whoever wins the special election will serve the remainder of former Mayor Tom Ross’ term through next June and must win re-election in 2026 to continue serving.
