(Bismarck, ND) — A bill proposal could prohibit students from using bathrooms that don’t coincide with their assigned sex at birth. State senators passed an amended version of the bill yesterday, allowing the attorney general to investigate incidents if a district fails to follow the law. Penalties would be issued by a court that carries up to two-and-a-half thousand dollars per violation. The bill heads back to the House for another vote before advancing to the governor’s desk.
