news

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Former USDA Rural Development Director Nikki Gronli is traveling around the state to hear from South Dakota residents. Hundreds of people showed up at Augustana University in Sioux Falls last night to speak their minds. The Trump Administration’s actions were discussed, including potential cuts to Medicaid, efforts to dismantle the Department of Education, tariffs, and deportations. Gronli is getting support from the Democrat Party to hold town hall discussions to hear about these concerns directly from citizens. The first of those sessions happened in Rapid City Monday night. Additional gatherings are planned for Thursday of next week in Vermillion and in Aberdeen on Monday, the 28th.
