(Williston, ND) — Williston fire officials are asking for help investigating what caused a small wildfire on the town’s northside. Assistant Chief Corey Johnson said half an acre was burned near Energy Street and Depot Lane, but no injuries or structural damages were reported. Investigators believe the fire was sparked by fireworks found in the area, which are prohibited in the city besides the Fourth of July and New Year’s holidays. Anyone with information about the incident can call the Williston Fire Department.
