(Bismarck, ND) — The aftermath of the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests is still being seen in federal court. Judge Daniel Traynor has ruled the United States must pay the state nearly 28-million-dollars in damages for law enforcement and other costs associated with the protests in 2016 and 2017. Traynor said the state met its burden of proof in court, highlighting the Army Corps providing the false impression of an issue with permits for protestors.
