(Minot, ND) — North Dakota’s air quality is worsening due to extreme heat and wildfires. The American Lung Association’s State of the Air report ranked Minot, Bismarck, and Fargo in the top 25 metro areas with the highest consecutive days of unhealthy air quality. Factors like ozone smog and particle pollution can lead to severe health effects, including lung cancer, asthma and heart attacks, and strokes.
