Rosebud Reservation Cleaning Up Storm Damage

(St. Francis, SD) — The Rosebud Reservation community is recovering from a powerful that rolled through St. Francis early yesterday morning. Houses were damaged, along with scattered debris and fallen trees. One family was sent to the hospital after their trailer was wiped out. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported. The St. Francis Indian School is being used as a temporary shelter. Rosebud Sioux Tribal President Kathleen Wooden Knife has signed a declaration for potential funds from FEMA as the community continues to clean up the damages.
