North Dakota Grain Growers Association Appoints Nick Sinner as Executive Director

The North Dakota Grain Growers Association (NDGGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Sinner as its new Executive Director. Sinner brings over two decades of leadership experience in agricultural advocacy, association management, and stakeholder engagement to the organization.

In his new role, Sinner will oversee the day-to-day operations of NDGGA, manage strategic initiatives, advocate on behalf of North Dakota’s grain growers at all levels of government, and enhance communication and outreach efforts to members and the broader agricultural community.

Sinner most recently served as Program Manager at the Northern Crops Institute, where he developed and delivered educational courses for domestic and international audiences and built strong relationships with key stakeholders in the agriculture sector. His previous roles include President and CEO of the Minnesota-South Dakota Equipment Dealers Association, where he led a 250-member association, directed governmental affairs, managed a significant budget, and created educational programming for members.

Sinner also brings extensive experience from his tenure as Executive Director of the Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association, where he advocated for growers’ interests at the state and federal levels, worked with the nation’s largest agricultural Political Action Committee, and built influential coalitions across the agricultural community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nick to the North Dakota Grain Growers Association,” said Ryan Ellis, President of the NDGGA Board of Directors. “His extensive experience in agriculture leadership, legislative advocacy, and strategic program development will strengthen our efforts to promote and protect North Dakota’s grain producers locally, nationally, and internationally.”

A graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, Sinner also brings firsthand farming experience from his years managing and operating Sinner Seed Farm in Casselton, ND. His deep roots in the farming community and longstanding commitment to agricultural advancement make him an ideal leader for NDGGA’s future.

“I am honored to join the North Dakota Grain Growers Association and look forward to working closely with our members, partners, and policymakers to strengthen the voice of North Dakota’s grain industry,” said Sinner.
