Report: Bears Sign CB Jaylon Johnson To Four-Year Deal

(Lake Forest, IL) — The Bears are locking up one of their premier defensive playmakers with a long-term contract. ESPN reports that Chicago and star cornerback Jaylon Johnson have agreed to a four-year, 76-million dollar deal that includes 54-million dollars in guaranteed money. Johnson is guaranteed 43.8-million dollars at signing and will make 28-million dollars in the first year of the deal. The Bears began the week by placing the nonexclusive franchise tag on Johnson in hopes of striking an agreement on a new deal. The 24-year-old is coming off his first Pro Bowl appearance after totaling 36 tackles, four interceptions, 10 passes defended and a forced fumble.
