North Dakota Rep. Randy Schobinger Has Died

(Minot, ND) — Republican North Dakota Representative Randy Schobinger has died in Minot at age 54 following a battle with cancer. He was one of the state’s youngest senators when he was elected at age 24, and he served from 1994 to 2006. Schobinger was elected to the state House in 2016, where he served on the budget-writing Appropriations Committee, but didn’t seek re-election for a third term this year. Governor Doug Burgum says Schobinger’s work will continue to benefit North Dakotans for many years to come.
