(Sioux Falls, SD) — A giraffe and five meerkats are the newest residents at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. According to a news release, the two-year-old giraffe is named Mario and he arrives from Lincoln Children’s Zoo in Nebraska. He’ll keep company with Great Plains Zoo resident giraffe Olivia Dee. All five meerkats are a year-and-a-half-old and come to Sioux Falls from Oakland Zoo in California.
