(Sioux Falls, SD) — Authorities in Sioux Falls are warning of a bank scam that’s costing victims thousands of dollars. Sioux Falls Police says the scammers are targeting customers of a local credit union. The caller ID in the scam calls showed it was Sioux Falls Credit or LEVO Credit Union, according to SFPD’s Sam Clemens. He noted scam calls last week alone cost three different victims more than 11-thousand, five-thousand and one-thousand dollars. Officials urge anyone who may receive a call not to provide any information and contact the bank separately to prove legitimacy. Investigators say they aren’t sure yet if the scammers are local or national.
