(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are giving themselves more time to decide whether or not they’re bringing back their starting running back. The team agreed to push back the contract void date of Aaron Jones over the weekend. The void date was originally scheduled for today, but now it will come into effect on the day before free agency. The move gives Minnesota more time to extend Jones. If no deal is reached, the Purple will take on just over three-million dollars of dead money in 2025. Jones rushed for 1,138 yards with the Vikings last year.
