(Alexander, ND) — An Alexander man is going to prison for attempted murder. The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office says David Chambers walked into the Tumbleweed Inn in October 2023 and started shooting at people. He was found guilty of attempted murder and other charges, and on Wednesday he was sentenced to 18 years in prison. The presiding judge told Chambers, “Thank God you are a poor aim, so they didn’t get hurt,” but “This behavior is not acceptable and must be punished.”
