ND House Bill Would Allow Edible Marijuana for Medical Purposes

(Bismarck, ND) — A bill introduced in the North Dakota House would allow for edible marijuana for medical purposes. Grand Forks Republican Steve Vetter brought back his bill after it failed in last year’s session with some changes added to the proposal. He argues edible marijuana is safer for patients than smoked marijuana, which he says has carcinogens in it. Some lawmakers worried about access to children but supporters say the marijuana would be sold in childproof containers.
