(Rapid City, SD) — A man accused of threats against President Trump is set to appear in a South Dakota court. According to court documents, David Combe was wanted in Arizona but was arrested in South Dakota for a letter he mailed to the President in early September of 2020. That was near the end of Trump’s first term in office. Combe is accused of writing that he “would hunt down and kill the president” while the envelope allegedly contained white powder with “PS: enjoy the anthrax in the envelope” added to the letter. The 46-year-old will now appear at the Federal Courthouse in Rapid City on Wednesday after an indictment in the case just last month. Combe faces two counts of making threats against the President and one count of false information and hoaxes.
