(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is hitting the road for his ‘Open for Opportunity Tour’ around South Dakota. It’s part of his plan to highlight economic development efforts, workforce needs, and future opportunities around the state. The governor, along with First Lady Sandy Rhoden and Lieutenant Governor Tony Venhuizen, got the tour started in Sioux Falls yesterday now that the Legislative Session is over. Rhoden discussed economic growth and local challenges on a panel at the Chamber’s Inside South Dakota Event. The group also made stops at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance and the Silencer Central headquarters. Rhoden has yet to announce his next stops for the tour.
