(Fargo, ND) — Former state senator Ray Holmberg is heading to federal prison. The 81-year-old pleaded guilty to traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and will have to register as a sex offender. State prosecutors alleged Holmberg traveled out of the country to pay for sex with underage boys. He will now spend 10 years in federal prison.
