(Gregory, SD) — A teen girl is dead, and another is fighting for her life after a Sunday morning crash near Gregory, South Dakota. According to Highway Patrol, it was a single-car crash and happened around 10 a.m. yesterday. The teenagers were reportedly traveling east on U.S. Highway 18 when their SUV drove onto the shoulder which was under construction. When the driver re-entered the roadway, their SUV spun, entered the ditch and rolled. The passenger said to be 15 years old wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. Both girls were air lifted to Sioux Falls where the passenger died from her injuries. The driver remains in critical condition.
