Sen. Rounds Supporting Trump Tax Cut Extensions

(Washington, D.C.) — South Dakota’s U.S. Senator Mike Rounds is signaling his support to keep tax cuts signed by President Trump in place permanently. Provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs act, known as ‘Trump Tax Cuts,’ are set to expire at the end of this year. Extending the tax cuts is currently part of budget negotiations in Congress. Senator Rounds says there would be a price tag of “about a 25-hundred-dollar hit to the average South Dakota family” if the tax cuts expire. The majority of that comes directly from income taxes. A budget bill which would extend the tax cuts has yet to be finalized.
