Authorities Warn North Dakotans About Drug-Impaired Driving Ahead Of Sunday

(Bismarck, ND) — The social holiday associated with marijuana use has North Dakota authorities warning drivers about getting behind the wheel. April 20th is known as Four-Twenty Day, which often results in increased drug-impaired driving nationwide. The North Dakota Department of Transportation and law enforcement agencies remind North Dakotans that substance abuse and driving is illegal. Sixty drug recognition experts work within agencies statewide and will assist law enforcement in identifying impaired drivers this weekend. Rideshare, taxi services, or ND Sober Ride are available for anyone who plans to use impairing substances at any time.
