State Lawmakers Propose Increased Speed Limits

(Bismarck, ND) — A bill could increase speed limits on North Dakota interstates. The House proposal narrowly passed the Senate floor on Friday to raise interstate speed limits to 80 miles per hour. The bill would also increase speeding ticket fines and potentially add more points to driver’s licenses for anyone violating specific traffic laws. Governor Kelly Armstrong will now decide if the proposal is signed into law.
