(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo Public Schools Board is terminating educational justice philosophies. Following the advice of school district attorney Tara Brandner, the board approved the decision to avoid the possibility of losing federal funding. Four philosophies recognizing the rights of LGBTQ-plus students and students with disabilities will be axed. Brandner says the loss of federal funding would have disastrous consequences, and any federal investigation could interfere with district operations.
