(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota Highway Patrol officers are being justified after using deadly force in two shootings with the same suspect back on April 1st. Samir Albaidhani remains in custody for allegedly evading police and firing shots at officers that day in Sioux Falls and also the Beresford area. Attorney General Marty Jackley released the report from the Division of Criminal Investigation on Friday justifying officers shooting the suspect before detaining him. The 25-year-old faces a long list of charges that includes six counts of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer. Authorities initially tried to arrest Albaidhani as a parole absconder who was also wanted on different outstanding warrants.
