It is the vision of the Dakota News Network to report the local, regional, and national stories as they pertain to our region and give our listeners vital information on what the issues may mean specifically for people in the Dakotas.
The Dakota News Network provides regional news specialized separately for South Dakota and North Dakota. We are part of Midwest Information Systems and since 1984 we have focused on being an independent news provider for the region we call home.
From our News Director
You know the saying “can’t see the forest for the trees”? I get like that some days – so wrapped up in the overflowing details of everything I need to get done, that I forget to focus on the reason I’m doing this. I’m here to serve you.
I’ll never be a police officer or a fire fighter or a nurse. I chose to go into journalism as my way to serve my community. Every time I’m on the air reading news, it’s so my neighbors can have the information that impacts their lives.
With that in mind, I ask our listeners this: How can I serve you? Please, I encourage you to reach out and let me know. I know there’s little I can do about the big national media and their issues. But as your local news person, I’m here to do the best I can for my community.
