(Woodworth, ND) — Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes hit parts of North Dakota Sunday afternoon and evening. Three tornadoes were confirmed, one near Woodworth, a second near Opal, and a third near Fort Ransom. All three remained over open fields and no damage was reported. The storms also caused flooding near Cleveland, and there were several reports of hail and damage from straight-line winds in several other areas. Nearly five inches of rain was recorded in Medina.
