2023 North Dakota Deer Harvests Below Normal

(Bismarck, ND) — Hunters and North Dakota wildlife officials say this year’s deer harvest was below normal again. According to a report from the Game and Fish Department, just over 50-percent of hunters who went deer hunting last month were successful. It’s a continued downward trend from 2020, when North Dakota deer hunters had about a 67-percent success rate. Experts say the severity of this winter will play a major role in the quality of next year’s deer hunting season.
