34 People Detained At North Dakota-Canada Border

(Neche, ND) — Border Patrol has detained 34 people at the U.S.-Canadian border near the small town of Neche, North Dakota. Officials say 19 people were detained in the area last week, and 15 more were detained on Tuesday. Both groups are reportedly migrants from Romania who entered the U.S. and were trying to illegally cross the border into Canada. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says there’s been an unprecedented increase in the number of illegal crossings at the northern border. Experts say the amount of attention at the southern border right now is to blame.
