(Grand Forks, ND) — The Federal Highway Administration has given the go-ahead for an interchange project at 47th Avenue South and Interstate 29 in Grand Forks. The approval means the project can move forward with planning, design, and eventually construction. The idea of adding another interchange in Grand Forks has been talked about for years, and officials say the project would decrease traffic congestion on the 32nd Avenue South interchange. There’s no word on when construction would begin.
